    Description

    Welcome to Earlycoppercoins!  I am the owner, Shawn A. Yancey, and I am a member of ANA and Early American Coppers, EAC #4647.  I am pleased to offer the following item:
    1796 S99 Draped Bust Large Cent, Reverse of 1795/1796 with Single Leaves, R5.  Authenticated and graded by PCGS as G6.  This is an original chocolate brown example with close to VG details but with some scattered nicks that are certainly in line with a G6 grade level.  This coin has prior pedigree including: Loma Linda collection; Heritage 01/03/18:3207:PCGSG6;EACG4:2; EAC 05/04/19:112:G5:0 hammer - not sure what the buyer's fee was in 2019.  Overal this is a very decent low-grade example of a tough R5 1796 Draped Bust.  Ex-Mike Demling at EAC St. Louis 05/15/22.
