    Description

    Glossy medium chocolate brown with steel brown toning on the highpoints. There are weak areas caused by debris on the die, especially on the hair ribbons (a common occurrence for this variety). There is a small spot of greenish verdigris nestled under the R in LIBERTY. EDS, Breen state I, before any swelling or die cracks on the reverse. The date is strong. Reverse of 1797 with Stems.
