1801 S.221 100/000 (Corrected Fraction) Draped Bust Large cent, PCGS VF details, code 97 for environmental damage.  From the PA Collection, and one of the last few coins from that source...we recently found a small group that we had forgotten about...maybe another 4 or 5 coins, and that's really it!  Ah, the rum ration at the early US Mint!  It's true that there is some pretty minor environmental damage and the surfaces, especially on the obverse, are a little bit less than perfectly smooth.  But, this is still a wonderfully pleasing coin.  The color is good, the detail is great, and the cost...well, that is entirely up to you!  A rare and desirable coin from the PA Collection we recently purchased, which was formed by a serious, sharp-eyed copper enthusiast from the late 1940's through the early 1980's.  The collection contained hundreds of coins, but as noted above, just a precious few remain.  Thanks for your participation, and good luck.
