Tray face has some tiny black spatters drops from possibily paint or ink - does not take away from tray. Tray front has very light scratches. Rim has light scraped and scratches. Outside edge has scrapes. Reverse has scrapes, some surface rust . Tray displays very well.

    Description

    1940's Dawson Brewing Co. "Naturally Better" Beer Tray, New Bedford, Mass. 12 ".
    This round metal beer tray measures 12 inches in diameter by 1 1/4 inches deep.  This is the brunette version of tray.  Tray shows a scene of a young couple enjoying a glass of Dawson's beer along with their meal.  Lettering above scene - DAWSON'S -  ALE & BEER - NATURALLY BETTER.
    Inside edge is brown with red stripes with likeness of King of Diamonds playing card and lettering - A Royal Brew X 6.  Tray has a red rim; reverse color is black.  Front of tray has very good coloring but does has what appears to be small spatter dots of black paint or ink.  This does not take away from the tray scene.  Front has light scratches.  Rim has light scrapes and scratches.  Reverse has scrapes, scratches and some surface rust.
    Dawson & Son brewery was founded in New Bedford Mass in 1899.  Brewery and brew rights were sold in 1967.
