I owned the exact same model 25 years ago. Love that car. I really want to restore this one, but we are moving overseas and I have way too many project. I am putting it for what I have in. I’d rather keep it but if someone is looking for one to restore with a good engine, new brakes parts and then some… and you like to take the challenge of doing some bodywork, I was looking forward to it. This is/was my pre-retirement project if it doesn’t sale.
I learn to re-upholster for the one I had back then but never had the chance to get to it so I really want to restore a car and this a good model fairly rare. Need upholstery. Love that fastback rear !
I purchased and installed all new brake parts besides the power booster and some lines etc...
Changed all 3 flexibles all wheel cylinders, all new shoes, put 2 new aluminum front drum. Still need some adjusting.
The engine starts and sounds good, transmission will make car drive forward and reverse but not sure of the brakes yet with the booster making it a still a little hard to brake like it shoudl !
    I have a carburetor kit.
    New battery.
The gas tank is out while I wanted to clean it and paint it. All the stainless steal trims, fender skirt, seats, inside parts, are in the car and/or in the trunk.
Body in good shape, dent wise but does have some rust; on the floor (I purchased the floor parts online used, no rust: to cut the rust area and weld back in the used clean ones), there is rust around the front windshield and rear window. One spot on the roof close to front edge driver side and on spot behind the front driver side quarter panel behind the stainless steal trim and one small spot in the trunk. Tires looks good not sure how old they are.
Took out all the inside seats and carpet out to start working on the floor and body parts, took the front cawl out to see the rust at bottom of the windshield, it does need some work there for sure. But the rest is of the body is pretty solid.
