To celebrate 50 years (1945-1995) of making toys, Mattel designed a very special, limited edition porcelain Barbie doll.  Even the colors she wears - red, Mattel's own color and gold, symbolizing fifty years were carefully selected to make her a special keepsake.
50th Golden Anniversary Porcelain Barbie
, Stock #14479, designed and manufactured by Mattel and first offered in 1995. She is 10 12" tall, fully jointed, made of fine bisque porcelain, and is signed in gold on her back. She has handpainted facial features and applied blonde wig styled in an updo accented with red roses. She comes dressed in her original rich red velvet gown with large collar adorned with fifty red roses. The sheath gown tapers to a row of red beads then flairs out dramatically at the bottom in shimmering golden pleats. On her wrist, she wears a special commemorative 23KT gold electroplated bracelet with "Mattel" on one side and "50th" on the other. She is #13507 in a limited edition and comes in her original box with all accessories, stand, and certificate still encased in the original packaging all in the original styrofoam liner in the original box. The doll itself still has the original protective foam around her hands and legs and has never been displayed. The original shipping carton is also included, which she will be shipped in.
