    Artisan
: San Carlos Apache who reside in San Carlos Reservation in AZ.
I was inspired to learn from my daughters that wanted to learn to do native jewelry. So one day we sat down and studied a pair of brick stitch and learned together. That was an experience of our mother and daughter time.
We are fine bead workers for many years. Their beads color represents the color of the Arizona, the turquoise, blue sky, magnificent sunset and various sand stone colors. Sometimes they use San Carlos Apache four colors of black (east,) green/blue (south), yellow (west), and white (north).
    Materia
l: Glass seed beads size 11
. The beading is brick stitch.
    Size
    :  The length is 3".
    Culture
: The merchants who came with the conquistadores brought colorful beads and traded with the Natives. Because of the brightness of the colors, the indigenous people created jewelry and adorned their bodies with them. Then they began decorating household items and other things with the beads.
