    Description

    This is
    The Mountain Geologist, V 11, #4
, published by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists in 1974. This 24-page report contains two articles. The most interesting is likely "
Uranium Occurrences in Upper Cretaceous and Tertiary Strata of Wyoming and Northern Colorado.
" This 18-page article contains several maps and diagrams as well as lengthy descriptions of the character and nature of uranium deposits in these rocks. With better developed understanding than many of the earlier USGS reports, this is a must-read article on these significant deposits. There is a good description of roll-front uranium deposits with nice diagrams. The article treats each area separately with several paragraphs to each. Areas discussed include:
    Great Divide Basin
    Wind River Basin
    Shirley Basin
    Powder River Basin
    Cheyenne Basin
The other article is: Guideline for Archaeological Activities Required under Current Colorado and Federal Law
Reports like this, from sources other than the USGS are scarcer than USGS bulletins and typically had smaller print runs an limited availability.
