    Description

HELLO AND WELCOME TO TREASURED COLLECTIBLES AUCTION
    SELLING:
You are bidding on an authentic vintage Lakota Purse / Medicine bag / Trade Bead pouch.
This item is handmade by a Lakota artist who I purchased it from.
It has been on display in our showcase at home and never used.
We purchase it right from the Lakota artist in South Dakota.
It is adorned by trade beads, decorative beads, small cones and traditional hide which is very soft.
This is a very traditional bag.  I was told that many years ago the Lakota people use to use bags/pouches like this and on them were all kids of beads for trading.  When they would trade for something, they would pull beads off the pouch and put the item into it.
This can be used as either a Purse, a Medicine bag, a Medicine pouch or hung on the wall as Native American art.
It is 15" long, not including the tie handle
    .
In traditional Native American culture, one of the most revered objects is the medicine bag (or bundle). Items are placed inside the small bag that holds a spiritual significance to the wearer ... such as special stones, various herbs, or any object of importance and meaning.
Some of these can be found in nature and the everyday experiences.
These bags and their contents are thought to possess a strong tie to the owner and nature
Worn by most Indians for personal uses, these bags are a normal part of the Native American culture.
I use to have a Native American store and this was purchased for my private collection.  Unfortunately it's that time in my life where I need to downsize and therefore I'm selling my collection.  This is one of the amazing pieces.  It was never worn, just purchased for display in our showcase.
I've included many pictures to show all the details of this amazing item.
Please view all photos for actual condition and ask any questions prior to bidding.
This would be an amazing addition to any serious collector of authentic Native American regalia.
This came from a pet & smoke free home.
