    Description

Native American Zuni Beaded Chief with Full Length Headdress
The name Claudia Cellicion (Cell Lee see own), is glued to the bottom of this beaded chief but I am not sure it is her piece.  She is one of the prolific bead workers, who lives at Zuni Pueblo. There are many subtle details in this work that includes a full length headdress covering the back; multicolored banded moccasins with the white leather soles. A multicolored belt with a geometric designed loincloth hangs from the belt of the chief, lime green beads decorate the upper body. Other beads create a pendant of turquoise, orange, yellow and burgundy. The headdress is made of black and white beads which make a group of feathers that flow down the back of the chief to the ground. On the bottom of left foot are the initials "LT".  The Native American chief stands 3.5 inches tall.
