Rare Antique Serving Tray
Description:
Presented for your consideration is this interesting and rare antique serving tray. The 12" in diameter tray has colorful graphics with advertising around the interior edge. In the center of the tray is a man dressed in a colonial inspired outfit consisting of red pantaloons, brown jacket with light blue quilting around the edges and cuffs, and a red fez. In one of his hands he holds a tray with two glasses and bottle of Altes Lager. In the opposite hand he is pouring a bottle of Altes Lager into one of the glasses. To his left is the logo for the Tivoli Brewing Co. in Detroit, Michigan and to the right of him is a picture of the factory. Closer to the bottom of the tray it reads "Tivoli Brewing Co. Detroit, Mich." The picture and logo are framed with leaf vines. Around the inner edge it alternates between the Tivoli logo and "Altes Lager." Back of the tray is a dark green color with dark gold around the perimeter. Nice detailing and beautiful coloration are displayed throughout the tray. Paint is original. Guaranteed to be antique. Dates to the pre-prohibition era. This hard to find tray would make a great addition to any advertising or beer memorabilia collection! Would look great displayed in your at home bar!
Very light oxidation is beginning to occur along the left hand edge. Light paint wear from age. No dents or dings. Overall in VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT condition for its age. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
Measures 12" in diameter and 1 1/4" deep.
