ROCKHOUND postcard of intarsia made by Foothill Gem and Mineral Society 1965

Description

Nice 1960s color postcard featuring an intarsia of a "rockhound"  This was a club project of the Foothill Gem and Mineral Society (at the time located in La Canada, Los Angeles County, CA) in 1965 and it is made from obsidian. jasper, dumortierite, lepidolite, blue calcite, rhodonite, jade, palm wood, honey onyx, verde antique marble, howlite, turquoise, rhyolite and silver.  The dog (hound) is looking with a telescope and he has a shovel and a pick in his belt.  He is in the mountains with a saguaro in the background.  Nice card in very good condition.  Buyer to pay for shipping.  eBay collects tax for your state as applicable and submits the amount directly to revenue offices.
