The Fulton Taper Cutting Jig has been designed to make long rip cuts at angles from 1 deg to 15 degrees using your table saw. Perfect for building woodworking projects like table legs, chair legs, magazine racks and more where slight tapers are common.
Our taper jig will most certainly enhance your woodworking abilities and your woodworking projects. This easy to use jig is fully adjustable for right or left hand use. As well as its ability to work on either the left or right side of your table saw fence.
Two ways to set the jig. First use the scale that has markings up to 15 degrees of taper. Second mark the starting cut at one end and then mark the exit cut at the other end of your piece of stock. Then simply adjust the taper jig to match those two marks.

However, one area that many of us struggle with is cutting tapered cuts on our table saw. After all table saws are primarily used to rip long stock parallel to the fence or cross-cut stock from 90 deg to 45 deg angles with a miter gauge. Most saws do come with a miter gauge, but they are designed for cross-cutting narrower stock pieces like those found on a picture frame. To cut long tapered cuts on a table saw, you need some sort of jig or sled to help guide your stock through the blade. The Fulton Taper Jig which has been designed for the sole purpose of cutting long tapered angles on your table saw!
Cutting Tapers Doesn't Need To Be Complicated
With its simplistic design and ease of use, the Fulton Taper Jig makes cutting tapers on your table saw easy. Simply adjust the rails to the desired angle and you're ready to go. No micro adjusting needed with this jig. You can however adjust the rails using the scale to achieve your exact, desired angle, or you can draw a line on your stock and align to the blade. Either way, you'll get consistent results.
Choosing Sides is Easy
Depending on your saw capability and your personal preference, you may want to use the taper jig on either the left or right side of your table saw blade. Not all saws offer this, but for the ones that do this can come in handy. The Taper Jig can quickly be reversed by moving the stop and and handle to the opposite side.
