    . Published in 1962, this item is complete with the manila sleeve, the huge map measuring more than five feet wide, and the 5-page article discussing the topic and providing additional details.
    The United States has large deposits of chromite in some widely separated locations, but notable amounts and small scale mining have occurred in other areas as well. This map and article were published to summarize what is known. The article has lots of information, and the map shows the major locations like the Montana, California, and Oregon, plus some unfamiliar ones like North Carolinia, Maryland,
    and other surprising states. It could provide some good leads for forgotten mineral collecting locales! A good resource for the mineral collector, or even the modern prospector.
