    This is USGS Bulletin 931-I,
Nickel Deposit Near Riddle, Douglas County, Oregon.
Published in 1942, there can't be many of these around. The publication consists of a 22-page book and both of the original geologic maps, which are bound into the book as foldout maps. One of he maps is three color, black-green-red.
This publication documents and maps the nickel deposits at Nickel Mountain in Riddle County, Oregon. The area was explored with at least 75 pits and trenches, 6 adits, 3 shafts and about 5 open cuts. The mineralogy includes garnierite and probably other secondary nickel minerals. Mindat.org also reports pecoraite for this locality. William Pecora is one of the authors of this publication, for whom
    pecora
ite, a nickel mineral, was named! Nickel minerals are among the some of the rarest and most colorful minerals, so who knows what has been overlooked here. This may still be a site worth investigating. It was later developed as the Riddle Mine. This publication makes a good introduction to this deposit and is a rare piece of the geologic and mining history of this area. Here is a great opportunity to own a scarce geologic publication.
