    Description

Here are two interesting geologic maps from the San Manuel copper district in Arizona. In my continuous search for libraries and collections I sometimes end up with random stuff from various reports. That's how I got these.
    The first is
Geologic Map and Sections of the San Manuel Area, Pinal County, Arizona.
This is the main map plate from USGS Professional Paper 471,
Geology of the San Manuel Area, Pinal County, Arizona
, published in 1965. This is a classic report I sold one of, years ago. The map is colorful and detailed, showing features of interest related to the copper deposits. Some of the things I can see on the map include the town of Tiger, the Mohawk mine, the old Red Hill shaft #4, Shaft #1, and the Mammoth vein. The map covers a much larger area.
    The second is
Geologic Map of the San Manuel Area, Arizona, Showing Approximate Outline of the Ore Body.
This is the main map plate from USGS Professional Paper 256,
Geology of the San Manuel Copper Deposit, Arizona
, published in 1953. This map shows a smaller area around the the actual ore bodies. So it is a sub-area of the larger map, but shows some details the larger map doesn't show.
All in all, a nice set for anyone interested in this area. Bargain priced because they do not have the companion reports or maps. See my other listings because at the time I listed this, I have a complete hard cover of
    Professional Paper 256,
Geology of the San Manuel Copper Deposit, Arizona.
Expert packing assured. The recent increase in postage rates was pretty big. As a result, Media Mail is now my default shipping method to keep shipping affordable.
