    Description

    WON'T LAST LONG!!
This is USGS Bulletin 1009-E, Stratigraphy of the
Morrison and Related Formations in the Colorado Plateau Region, A Preliminary Report.
Published in 1955, this is a scarce summary report that details features of this group of formations that host hundreds of uranium-vanadium deposits in the Colorado plateau. This 44-page book details aspects of the formation in the Four Corners states of Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado. Within the text are many maps showing various aspects of the formation. One of the interesting ones shows outcrop areas of the Morrison rocks throughout the region. It provides a lot of perspective on these important rocks.
    Thi
s is a really interesting report on a cool formation that was central to uranium mining in this historic mining region. These are scarce because they were mostly snapped up by mining companies that sought to use the information to prospect for hidden deposits.
