    Description

ONLY ONE AVAILABLE!!  RARE OLD BULLETIN!!  FASCI
    NATING VINTAGE REPORT!!
    This is USGS Bulletin 652,
    Tungsten Minerals and Deposits
. Published in 1917, there can’t be many of these around anymore. This publication consists of the 85-page hard cover book and all the original photo plates. Originally issued in soft covers with terrible acidic paper, this one was saved by being rebound to nice hardcovers before incurring any damage. It is in excellent condition - as good as you could expect to find in any book a hundred years old.
This book details the main tungsten minerals in tungsten deposits with plenty of information on their occurrence and identification. The book also describes various types of tungsten deposits. It does not go into detail on specific mines and occurrences, but takes more of an overview approach. I have to say this was more interesting than I expected. I found it to be a pretty good read - mainly because it is less technical than later works that delve into fluid chemistry and all that stuff. This one is more descriptive, like a lot of the geologic literature of the day. It's a nice book for anyone curious about tungsten deposits and their minerals.
Could be a nice addition to a library on mineralogy as well.
