    Description

Today we're offering a fantastic beaded wall hanging made by Iroquois Native Americans, circa 1920-1930.
This 3-pocket wall hanging measures 20" long and 8" wide. The fabric is golden brown velvet with a soft, navy blue fabric on the back. The interior of the pockets are lined with cotton print fabric. Two of the pockets are decorated with cherries and the center pocket is decorated with an American Eagle and flag. There is beading around all of the edges. It is old and fragile and should not be used to store things in. There are a couple of holes in the blue fabric on the back side. There is some red dye stain on the gold fabric inside of the pockets.
This wall hanging is part of a collection belonging to the Doran family of N.W. Washington who spent years assembling a (primarily) NW Native American collection. Along with Indian baskets, there are carvings, bead-work and various other artifacts that make up this wonderful collection. It is our privilege to be able to offer this collection to you on their behalf. So please save us to your favorite sellers list so that you'll be notified as we add new listings.
